When sport diving first became popular in Southern California, the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation was the first agency to recognize the need for highly skilled and dedicated Underwater Instructors.

These pioneers in the field of diver education founded the standards for effective teaching methods and safe practices in SCUBA diving.

Since 1954 we've been training qualified professionals who continue to provide and example for the entire industry.
