you will find
all the
necessary
information and forms
required to
renew your
Instructor level
status with the
Underwater Unit
each year.
The
fee for
Active Status
Instructor
Recertification
includes
reissuance of an
annual
Instructor
C-Card.
For an
additional fee
you can also
have a new Los
Angeles County
Underwater
Instructor Photo
Identification
card printed.
Photo
Identification
cards do not
expire and only
provide a means
of
identification
only.
Photo
Identification
cards do not
authorize you to
teach Scuba for
the County of
Los Angeles, for
that you must
have an Active
Status
Instructor
C-Card.

In order to
maintain a
yearly active
Instructor
(teaching)
status, the
following
requirements
must be met: |

Recertification

"Active"
Recertification
Fee
of
$45.00

Maintain
a
current
copy
of
CPR/First
Aid
credentials
on
file
with
LA
County
Scuba

Proof
of
current
SCUBA
Instructor
Liability
Insurance
OR
-
Proof
of
County
Employment,
for
WORK
RELATED
programs
ONLY

Teaching
Requirements

of the

green
sheets

the
Underwater
Unit

listed

an
active
assistant

Visitors to that

taking SCUBA
lessons can find
an Instructor
local to their
area.
In
order to receive
a directory
listing, the
following
requirements
must be met: |

Must meet
all
eligibility
requirements
of an Active
Status
Instructor
(see above)

Must be
willing to
provide a
contact
phone number
to be
displayed on
your listing

Must be
willing to
use an LACS
email
address OR
an LACS
email alias
that is
redirected
to your
personal
email
address.

Must be
willing to
provide a
listing of
areas you
service
(limit 3).

Must agree
to all terms
and
conditions
associated
with the
Find An
Instructor
Referral
program.
