Conrad Limbaugh was a true pioneer in diving education.
As early as 1951 he began to develop the basic
guidelines for training research divers in scuba diving
at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography in San Diego,
California, eventually becoming their Diving Training
Officer.
Conrad Limbaugh was responsible for training the two
divers who pioneered the Los Angeles County Underwater
Program, Al Tillman and Bev Morgan. This
prestigious award is given to those whose contribution
and dedication has made a significance to the promotion
