A Column from the Department of Parks and Recreation

Greetings once again from the Department of Parks and Recreation!

It seems like only a few days ago I was writing my column to congratulate the ADP graduates from the Summer of 2009.  Now it's almost time to say "hello" to a new class!  Program information for ADP 2010 is now available on our website and can be found at www.lacountyscuba.com/adp-sign.htm. We look forward to some innovations this year that will make an excellent diving program even better...stay tuned for new developments.

It's going to be a busy spring and summer season for LA COUNTY SCUBA.  In addition to finishing the Instructor's Course and getting ready for the next Advanced Diver Program, we just finished hosting a booth at Diver's Day at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach on March 28th.  As usual it was nice to see several familiar faces as well as new faces that stopped by to say hi and inquire about our training programs.

We will also be hosting a booth at this year's SCUBA SHOW on May 15th and 16th at the Long Beach Convention Center.  We look forward to seeing are old friends and meeting new ones during this great event.  We will be at booth # 545...stop by and say hello!

Before we get there, let's all take a minute to say thanks to the men and women of this year's Underwater Instructor Certification Course.  57 UICC is nearing completion and as always, it's been lots of hard work for both the candidates and divemasters alike.  It takes hard work to be the best, so thanks to everyone for all of your efforts.

In closing, as you have seen by now our website that was once good has even gotten better!  We recently made some cosmetic and structural changes to the site, I hope you continue to find the website useful, informative and entertaining.  I look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Stay healthy and keep diving.

  Sincerely,
